And by the way oil isn't going to last forever Scotland, maybe about 50 more years the scientists say so if you wanted to leave the UK then you've just missed the best time to leave. Once the oil has gone what will scotland be left with? Fish? Some timber and stone and thats about it, looks like another Iceland to me, putting all their eggs in on basket and we all know what happened to Iceland in early 2009.
Once Scotlands oil has gone (which it almost is) then scotland won't have much and will have to compete with Ireland as a financial center, but also with the UK and the city of london bankers are something to contend with.
