Subject: Should The US Join The Commonwealth of Nations

Should the United States of America join the Commonwealth of Nations? It's I believe the only former British colony that is not part of the Commonwealth. I think it should since then the Commonwealth will finally tie the big three democracies: the United Kingdom, the world's oldest surviving democracy; the United States, the world's most powerful and greatest democracy; and India, the world's largest democracy. Also it will reduce the chances of United Kingdom from being enslaved to the European Union in policy in a new Battle of Hastings where Britain was turned from it's maritime and oceanic heritage to the interests of Continental Europe.
