He wasnt suggesting lefty "loonies" i think most people in scotland would say they where left wingers the legiment viewpoint of the reasonably sized populace, would probably be left wingers. He was talking about because left wing groups have support would they favour the Scandinavian system.

To say Scotland isnt thriving in the UK is an understatement. Scots benefit from the Barnett formula. They have free university and true cradle to the grave healthcare...and no parking charges in hosptials!

A country should have its right to self determination, but Scotland would be better off in the UK because she has more of a say in this union then the english do, and if we were seperated Scotland would have no place in the UN security council and the 300 years of reputation we have built within the UK would be gone forever, because its all the english and the scots have now.

as i said before a lesser union, a federated system, which it should have always been to start with, before anybody starts shouting independence...
