The amount of the loan that was just paid was 4.3 billion USD in 1945 dollars, which in today dollars would be about 33.4 billion USD, and the told amount that British Government paid back to the United States since 1950, when repayments started, was 7.5 billion USD. While this isn't an exact estimated of the value in payments to the real value, since they were made over time, it does gives us a bit of an idea if the United States made any money off of it. I guess if any one wants to look up the payments made by Britain on the loan for each individual year, or tell were I can find, I could discount the value of payments back to there 1945 value or adjust them for inflation to get there present value.
