R.P is the most presigious and most standard, as it doesnt incoperate slang or any misleading words but then again american english, has its own version boston type english which could be regarded as the same, but obviously american. British people see american english as bein crap and sloppy and stupid. The best to learn would be R.P because most of Europe who learn english learn that, and it would be quite easily to adapt or change words to fit in in an american situation provided you where fluent or you had an extensive vocabulary. The word prestigous is proberly the wrong one to use but its the form that many people regard as being upper class and most well understood in the UK anyway.
