No we couldnt do it, the worlds larger powers wouldnt permit it, not in an imperialist way anyhow, like i said before the only way to continue influence in the world is to be more embrasive of europe if or when the EU starts to become a superpower....
and the question of should we? yeah sure why not be good for us, but the rest of the world wouldnt like it. I think a global police authority is abit stronge, in todays globalised free market economy countries are competing and trying to rise to the top which calls for economic reforms etc etc etc extreme countries and oppressive ones are usually shunned by the rest of the world. so hopefully if managed correctly on both sides, by the rich countries and the governments of the poor countries the world will become a more developed sustainable place, and the worst of the bunch will follow the worlds example. it may be a long way off but the ideals are in place and the process is on going, and the UK is a major player in this development.
