No, we shouldn't!

I do agree that it was a terrible occourence, but it happened long before our time. We had no influence in it whatsoever and so are not accountable for it.

I believe that it is ok to admit that it is regrettable, but we are in no position to acctually appologise.

And all this reparations stuff on the matter is pure bull.

It may be contreversial to say it, but many of those who are decended from slaves have the trade to THANK. Otherwise they would not live in prosperous, first world nations today such as the US, UK and the rest of Europe.

I must stress though, that it was regrettable, but neither my country nor I should have to appologise for it!
