Exactly. Furthermore I think you will find that the British learnt a very valuable lesson from the American revolution. Under no circumstances would they allow the same thing to happen again, and in the case of other colonoised territories, like Canada and Australia, home rule or partial home rule, was granted very early and peacefully.

Today, the Americans and the Britsh are, for want of a better words, friends. They stood side by side in WWI and WWII to defeat the common enemy. Its the same as with france and the British. Years of war are put aside, and they have come togther. In fact it wasnt that long ago was it that the two countries (UK and France) celebrated 100 years of peace and friendship?
