[> [> [> [> Subject: This is a childish and foolish reaction. Egypt has sent MUCH better candidates to MU, from Sarah Shaheen to Karine Fahmy and all of them, Heba included have been ignored. To be fair to MW, Heba was overweight and dull at MW, just like Cindy Nell was, and much better girls, such as Miss Thailand and Miss India didn't make the cut. Yet, they are not behaving like children and boycotting the contest.

[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: Karine, Sarah and Heba were only noticed by fans, not the organisation. Also, the new voting system is limited to the contestant's continent. It is GUARANTEED that 2 girls from Africa will make it through, which is more than MU can ever say. Nothing the filipinos or Puerto Ricans do can change that. After that, it is the judges who will decide. I think we are making a big mistake. What I don't understand is why you are so upset with MWO for not giving Heba the crown, when year after year MU ignores not just us, but all Arab girls.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: SA and Nigeria send well prepared, beautiful girls. If we have problems with the MW system, make sure that MWO hears about our concerns. MW is trying to find a fair system where countries from all over the world have a chance to succeed, unlike in MU where only the Latin nations do well, and they have tried to find a system to ensure this equity. Give them feedback, invite JM to the annual contest. All this will help address the root problems instead of just pulling out.

Sorry, but I do not agree! Miss Nigeria 2001 had already competed in MU the same year and went un noticed, it is not that she was more preparred for MW, it is just that she changed her ugly gown! And Heba El-Sisi was much more prepared during MW than MU, she had a better wardrobe, and btw she lost some pounds before MW not as u said gained some! This is not the first time we be shut out, we sent another beautiful delegate in 1997, Amal Shawky, and she was also left in the dark. Im not saying that the Egyptian girls are the best, still, last years competition was a scandale and everyone agreed that we could at least replace 5 worse contestants than Heba!

Everyone had Heba in their top 15 list at MU, and she did NOT place. At MW, no one had Heba in their list, including the webmasters, GB and the betting agencies. And Nigeria was MUCH better prepared at MW - Naomi Campbell took her under her wing after MU, she had a contract with Trump models and had walked all over the Milan and Paris runways, She had a fitter body, a great look and gown and MUCh better presence.

And for every Amal Shawky at MW, we have one Karine Fahmy at MU. Just admit that MU is no different than MW.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: What do you mean by "As long as Israel exists, no Arab girl will win MU." Hello! Lebanon won MU in 1971 with Georgina Rizk! Besides, Israeli girls are far more competitive and better prepared than Arab girls! That's a fact! Perhaps Arab girls should do their training in Israel!

Israeli contestants are not very well-preparred or anything, sometimes I find their wardrobe funny! and it is not a FACT as u said, it is POLITICS!

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: It is a FACT that Israel has placed better in pageants - generally speaking - than Arab countries. I don't think it's political at all. Israeli contestants speak English and are more sophisticated! I dont wanna to start a war between Israel and Lebanon or between Israel and Egypt, but fan-man you know very well that Egypt has never won a world title since Antigone Costanda won Miss World in the 1950s!

I became posetive that this nation is being supported by MUO and MWO. Politics have a great role here!

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: Comparing Egypt and Israel during MIss U 2005, I would say Egypt was beautiful but lacked stage presence and umph. Perhaps if she had more experience in other lesser pageants she would have been better prepared. Israel? Well i don't like her that much but she had sex appeal that's why she got in. Israel ain't that lucky in MIss U as well, they hardly get in as well. Before Ilanet Levi in 2001, Israel never got in the semis since 1978!! But one thing's for sure, Miss Egypt 2004 was far greater than Miss Israel 2004.

[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: I agree that instead of wasting money in sending a girl to Miss World, the resources should be used for Miss Universe. And I suggest you send the MIss Egypt who went to Miss Earth last year. You need pageant veteran for a very competitive pageant as Miss Universe. Be optimistic, Egypt will get in the MIss U semis. Cyrpus waited for decades before they finally got in the semis back in 2002.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: I agree with you, however, Egypt can prepare two or three International representatives a year and make Egypt proud. About Arwa Gouda, she already quit modeling I guess and she started her acting career. The 2005 contest has already started, and some of the early applicants are far more competative! Just wait!

[> Subject: Face2Face has to send Fatima Khalil somewhere! She has so much potential! Also, it is important to know that boycotting a pageant is a serious deal. If the pageant thinks you no longer like them, then that's it. They'll never consider your queen as a winner again...most of these bigger pageants hold grudges like that. So if MW and/or MI are boycotted, no matter if/when you decide to re-send egyptian delegates, they'll take the franchise fees but ignore her entirely. I'm not saying to boycott or not to boycott, it's just good seeing all angles of this problem.

Egypt is not the only country whose represntatives were not among semi-finalsits, the most important fact is that Miss Egypt is present on the international stage, its not always about winning. anyway Egypt will get my vote !

Well,as for Heba El Sisy in MW,as far as i know her poor English was one important reason why she did not enter the top10 or top20,and she's not active in activities orgnized for the competition, she was beautifull and supported by many internet and phone voters, that's true and I was one of them, but it was judges who makes the final choice,MW accepted Heba inspite of coming late which shows catholicity,Miss egypt should make more friends in pageants rather than just miss Miss Lebanon.
