After reading that brilliant interview with Meriam from the main page, I have to say that this girl is even better than I thought! She's more than natural... she's -real-. There's something about her that you can just connect to. She isn't afraid of hiding her flaws, and instead embraces them as a part of who she is. That's truly amazing about her! I also like that's she humble; when she said she joined the contest because of her shyness and wanting to improve her confidence, and then she said that she's not crazy about the stereotypical girl stuff... Guys, good job. You've picked the right girl.
Now the only thing that REALLY makes me mad is that her interview on the MU website doesn't show this at all! It's so unfair to her... this girl has a brilliant mind but is instead portrayed as "cute". I wish everyone could read that interview and see how much substance she has. My only hope is that even last year's winner didn't have a stellar close-up either, but the judges saw past that and chose her. I hope that's what happens with Meriam. This girl really deserves the best. Of course, not to undermine the efforts of the past queen(s), but Meriam truly is the best we've had yet. She has my full support, if it matters at all. :) GO MERIAM!

[> Subject: egyptgal: I totally agree with you! Meriam has the brains and the beauty...but those MU interviews are dumb...they ask light hearted questions because they want light hearted answers. Everyone who's into pageants goes to GB so they'll see the true Meriam!!! Does anyone know if during the prelims/finals Meriam will speak in English or get a translator and speak in Arabic?

I know it's not my business, but just thought of letting you know that for question 10, I think a better translation of the Arabic saying would be "A healthy mind comes within a healthy body". Keep it up!!
