Subject: Looking for James Franklin Scott- Greene C. Tenn. Late 1800's

My great-Grandfather was named James Franklin Scott; He has been traced back to Greene Co., Tennessee prior around the time of the Civil War; he was known to be an Indian Scout and did Scout work during the war. His wife is listed only as Mary, Known Children were Elijah and Bessie (Elizabeth?)Jiles?;there were other children, but I have no names. He migrated into Missouri sometime after the war,Son: Elijah had married my Grandmother: Cinda Luella Breedlove-Bird and had 5 children with her before 1932, when my Mother: Glatha Marie Scott-Harrison-VanScoy-Mix, who was the youngest of their children. There has been rumor of records of a great-great-grandmother who was listed on a census as "Mulatto" James was listed as a dark man; He was of Cherokee Origin and if the census record was correct he wouls be multi-racial of African-American and Cherokee bloodlines
