seeking info on early Texas death record

I have hit my brick wall.....seeking to find out where in Texas a person is buried, when they died.......names are common making it hard. Mary Ann MACON JOHNSON, daughter of Pleasant Macon & Nancy Gray, born in Upson County , Georgia...in 1826, married to David J Johnson, b 1812 in N.C., They married in Macon Co Alabama 6 FEB 1842...Last I am able to locate Mary Ann was in MC Colloch County TEXAS in 1880 census, living as a widow at age 54 with some of her children, after that I cannot find her.......am told she died in Texas but as there are many Mary Johnson's, I cannot find mine.........her children were; ELLEN GRAY JOHNSON who married WILLIAM FLETCHER WEIR, GEORGE JOHNSON, WILLIS M JOHNSON, NATHANIEL JOHNSON, NANCY JOHNSON, LOUISA AMBLER JOHNSON WHO MARRIED THOMAS POWELL, WILLIAM THOMAS JOHNSON, ANDERSON JOHNSON, JAMES WESLEY JOHNSON WHO MARRIED ANNIE DEE HOUGHTON, THEY LIVED IN TOM GREEN CO TX, SAN ANGELO TXAND CHARLES JOHNSON........ just have searched and searched and cannot locate her, thinking she had gone to stay with one of the grown children but cant seem to locate, any help would be appreciated
