Subject: any information appreciated

Hello, my sister and I have been trying to find any information about our dad and his family. He is Woodie McRee of Arkansas. He served in WWII and has passed away. He was 23 years older than our mom, so we never knew any of his family. We believe he is a decendent of Sam Houston. Any information at all, no matter how small you think it may be is valued to us.
