Subject: Looking for parents of James Garner 1825-1911

I have hit a brick wall in locating the names of ancestors. I need the names of James Garner's (formerly of Ontario and then of Michigan)parents. He was born in 1825 and died in 1911. He married 1st Nancy Crockwright and then 2nd Sarah Fick. He had 9 children. It is believed that his mother was from Ireland and his father was from England but no one knows any more than that. If anyone has ANY information I would greatly appreciate it. I am very frustrated!!!!!
