Subject: Brick wall: Zachariah Means, LA & William Green Hill, TENN

Zachariah Means was in LA., E. Baton Rouge Parish in the 1840's. Desperately searching for parents names and their birthplaces...also wife. I have found a Sarah Smith that I believe was his wife. One or both were part Cherokee.
Also seeking info on William Green Hill as to his whereabouts during the 1840-1860 period. Did he go to Texas from Tennessee? If so, when? He gave my grandmother, Florence, to her half brother to raise.
