hi i also have been searching for information on the gullion and atwell family......my grandmother is lolita atwell gouge peterson........atwell being her maiden name if you will email me and help me to work on this also then i would greatly appreciate it.......now my great grandfather and grandmother were edwin or edward a. atwell but have not found out which one it is yet but he was chief and full blooded cherokee indian from what i am told.....he married mary elizabeth i think her maiden name was gullion but havent found that out for sure either. it may be we are searching for the same ancestors...as for my great great granmother and grandfather i havent gotten that information yet but it it coming. if you need anything else or have any information to help me then please let me know. oh yeah edwin and mary elizabeth are buried at the zion cemetary in rich valley virginia. mary was born 1878 and died 1958 edwin was born 1876 and died 1945 hope this helps
