Subject: Bird/Byrd ancestors, Montgomery County, N.C.

Looking for Bird/ Byrd ancestors from Montgomery County, N.C.My GG Grandfather was Henry Wade Byrd who fought and died in the civil war in 1863, he married Martha Thompson Daughter of Patrick Thompson, their two children were Elizabeth Francis, and Thomas Calvin. Sometimes the name was spelled Bird, do not know when the name changed and stuck. Would love to hear from anyone with information.
