Bowman and Godwin are my brickwalls
My grandmother was a Bowman, her mother was a Godwin.
She used to talk about her grandmother being an indian princess and about an indian headress her grandmother owned.
She spoke of Ariton, Ozark, Clio, Marley Mill areas. She was married in Barbour County. Looking for her granparents, the parents of:
(Edward)E.R.Bowman b. 1880 d 1959
buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetary, Ozark, AL area
Married 2/16/1902, Dale Co AL Dale Co marr book page E-266
Mattie L.(Godwin) b. 1882 d 1952 Pleasant Grove Cem. Ozark.
