I am looking for any info on my father's family. I know that his grandfather was born in Canada, his name was George Fair. George married Jessie or Jerrie or a Jessa. They had atleast 2 children. Howard and Nancy (Nan). Both were born in Michigan. Howard was born about 1888. Howard married Clara Barrett(?), believe she was born in NY. Nan married ? Wiley, they had no children. Howard and Clara had atleast 4 kids. Howard, Jessie, Harriet and my dad-George. I found Howard and Clara with Jessie(G)in the 1920's census, living in Chemung County, NY. I found in the same census, George, Jessa and Nan. In the 1930's, I found George, Jessa, Nan, Jessie, Howard and Hattie. My father was born in 1927 so, he should have been in the census but, can't find him or his parents. Believe that his father died in the 1920's. We believe that Clara died in the late 1960's to early 1970's. Would love any info on any of this. Sometime in the 1930's, My uncle Howard and Aunt Jessie went into the Cortland Children's Home, Jessie ended up with a family in Rome, the Cole's! My aunt Hattie and my father went to live with their aunt Nan. Later my aunt Hattie married a Paul Galini(?) and was said to have moved to CA. My father is still alive and would love to know anything, none of the kid's remember their mother.Also know that Clara owned a house in Chemung County about the time of her death. The house was being sold to a Norman Glover. Nan owned and ran a boarding house and an old persons home in Cortland, NY, believe it was on N.Main St.
