My info on John Baltzegar b.1732 d.1798 Orangeburg, SC.
Married Mary Margret Robinson d.1770-80 d.??
children:
John .. b.1774-80 d.1838 M. Catherine Smoke
Rachel Ann .. b.1782 d.?? Jacob Bonnett
Matt .. b.17786 d.? M.?
Mose A. .. b.1790 d.1860 M.? (War of 1812 vet)
No child named Rebecca listed ....
John (d.1732) above would be the only John Baltzegar in Orangeburg the right age .. he was the son of Jan (John) Balziger (b.1696) from the Palatinate Switzerland and came to SC in 1735. Unless Jan had a brother who came with him? this is possible but I have no info. you may want to ask P. Steven Baltzegar at baltzegar@juno.com
