WILLIAMS, SMITH, STOUT, HOOT -- Family Tree Brick Walls

WILLIAMS, SMITH, STOUT, HOOT

Charley Williams was born 13-sept-1887 in Texas. In the 1900 census he and his brother Willie Williams born jul-1884, were found living with their maternal grandparents George Washington Smith and Nancy Shirley Smith in San Jacinto County. Of all the records I have searched thus far, Charley and Willie's dad has been listed as ? Williams.
It's driving me nuts. Someone please help. By the way, to further establish the Williams line, Charley married an Olie Stout born 17-aug-1892 in Texas, and they lived in Evergreen (now a ghost town) San Jacinto County. Her parents are believed to be but not proven.....Elijah Stout, whom married a Mary Catherine Hoot.....I havent went this far on the Stouts and Hoots yet.
Any help would be a great help.
