chandler and parent families please help?

my g-grandfather was adopted and named ,charles theodore
chandler(named after 2 uncles)born in crestline,ks I believe
2-2-1884;his mothers name listed as mary parent,he has a 1/2 brother george parent,and in the webb city,jasper cnty,
MO. census of 1900 it lists charles chandler b.2-2-1884;16; as living with a william parent;can anyone help?
