"I also think he deserves a great deal of credit for the help he's given for so many years to so many kids in Hudson County.

There are a lot of kids in Hudson County who've needed the kind of help people like the Faa give. And he's always been there to help, getting very little in return from a material point of view over something like 40 years.

Despite his gruff exterior, the Faa is a man for others."

This is exactly true. He gives from his heart not only guidance to kids who have none but often even buys food and other supplies, etc., paying from his own pocket. He is a mentor to many and a darn good baseball mind and great coach. He could easily earn hundreds of dollars an hour tutoring kids as a baseball instructor but won't (he was a professional scout); instead devoting his time to helping the youth of JC., expecting nothing in return. If you really knew him and talked to him you would be surprised. He is a very interesting fellow and well respected as a baseball mind and well rounded in all sports and I know he always wanted SPC to succeed. So, don't let that gruff exterior fool you,
he is a down to earth person with a heart of gold.
