Thanks, seems like you know a lot about the game yourself. There are a few of us "oldtimers" and some younger ones that I've recently met at SPC games. Each seems to know (and post) the game of basketball, so I'll take your compliment for all of them.

Unfortunately, I'm not a Jersey guy but we have several knowledgeable posters who might have seen Jamil play and offer a better opinion than mine. My only caution is that there is often a big gap between wanting a player, recruiting a player and ultimately signing that player. Guess that is what recruiting is all about. Not as easy as many think.

With regard to our needs, it is definitely another offensive threat. A player who is capable of scoring 12-15 pts. per game. My own feeling early on was a #3 guard as an outside threat. Belin takes us in a slightly different direction but he seems like he can contribute immediately. Probably too good to pass up.

The team now seems to be overloaded up front: Bacon, Hill, Costner, Conley, Schumate and Belin, not to mention Gooding and the tweener Reid. What we need is some help for Wesley, Nick and Brandon. Lampley is gone and whether Mumford is or not, I've never seen him as anything but a role player.

Would assume that JD is looking for a combo guard who can score. The ideal player would be a 6'3" type who could play swing while Brandon and Nick can take care of ballhandling. I have no idea who JD will recruit but as per above it may just be the best player available. Although recruiting is always a bit of a crap shoot, he's has done pretty good job thus far. Putting some very good pieces together and definitely some cause for optimism. LOL
