Subject: Well done ,young Peacocks.

You could see the disappointment etched into the faces of the young Peacocks as they exited the court last evening.
Most true Peacock fans were delighted to see what the team had accomplished during their second half turnaround this year, and were not disappointed.
Those looks showed the belief and expectation that this team had in itself. They worked hard, never quit, bought in to the team defense concept, and by the end believed they could beat anyone.
Unfortunately, there were just not enough bullets left in the gun.Having escaped the PIG with a series of spine tingling victories, this Cinderella Peacock team's clock struck midnight at exactly that time this morning.
Handicapped by a short bench,SPC ran out of gas in the last five minutes, when the shots simply did not fall, and the turnovers proved costly.
This team will be better next season ,not only by the maturity process, but by the addition of Conley,Belin, and hopefully a few being pursued.
Peacocks,you made us proud!

Echo your thoughts Cindy. Was away, so the reports and comments of our fans on this board was appreciated. Sticking my neck out but I think that we will be more than pleased with Darius Conley.

Thirded. After getting over the initial disappointment, I couldn't help but begin to look forward to next year. After a rocky start to the season, the team found itself. It was a real pleasure to see all that hard work come together, especially in that gutty season-ending victory over Manhattan. Great job by Coach Dunne and his staff in developing the talent we have and putting together a system to maximize their potential.

Couldn't agree more Cindy. Very encouraged by the growth over the second half of the season. Rider might be the pre season favorite next year and we were right there with them till we ran out of gas.
I felt the light went on for our young team during the Niagara game at home in early January. From that time with essentially a rotation of only 7 players we were 7-9 including the tourney loss. Not bad all things considered.
With the new additions coming we will be very competitive in the league next year.
On another note heard Wagner series is being renewed.Should be a home game. We open with SHU at Prudential next season. Also,Rutgers away,Stony Brook away,Njit home, FDU away ,Youngtown State home, bracketbuster away,Monmouth home.Leaves three open dates. Possibility of a tournament somewhere for 2 of the open dates. Leaves 1 open for now. Maybe a money game on the road possible.

I appreciate the info but the possibility you raise is only three home games in OOC . Six away and two neutral would be tough .

I believe bracketbuster is home also, as this year it was away.Add Wagner,Youngstown St.,NJIT,and Monmouth for at least 5 OCC home.

I believe that I have read about change in BB cycle so that the game and return game are not both home or away in same year tho not sure change is effective the upcoming season .

Those three opens dates have all got to be against the RPI top 100, with two in the top 50. We have got to improve our OOC SOS.
