Not so sure Gooding will return.Vibes I am getting say no.I also tend to put stock in Drutz' article on yesterday's game
that ends with his farewell to Ish and Akeem.I'd like him back, the way he's played of late, but I just don't see it.
Perhaps missed in the turmoil, was Hill's five boards in only eight minutes. There is athleticism there. He's still young and raw,but I agree with those who see the upside.
My long wish list for next season includes a face up ten footer for Ryan, and improvement in Wes' short game---he actually shot better from three than from two,.368 to .342 for the season.Nick on the other hand was .31 from three and .401 from two.
Hall must add to his offense,Costner to his strength, and as mentioned above Hill must play with more control and maturity. I trust most of this will happen.
It will be a long time before our opening next season against the Hall.I look forward to good recruiting news and already see a need for a star frosh or two . With our trio of sophs and Belin joining that class, there will be a massive void to fill in two years. We have to start reseeding now.
On the rumor front,in addition to a possible tourney next season, there is talk of possibly the Holiday Festival '10-'11.
Good to see some of the Blue Crew up in Albany. Spending time on the road with other Peacock zealots is always a great deal of fun.Particularly enjoyed closing that sports bar with SPCfan...good man.

Interesting...buddy heard Rob Kennedy say on MAAC broadcast Saturday night say Gooding had just reached a decision to stay. Guess we'll know for sure October 15th; hey, you may very well know more than Kennedy's source.
You hit the nail on the head in terms of what our remaining three players (Hill, Costner and Hall) need to work on. Hill, especially, has a good upside, IMO.
If we have enough ships to focus on re-seeding the roster, I hope we consider looking for a point guard. If '10-'11 is our best shot, which seems likely, I'd like to see a frosh point guard on the roster next season to compete with Hall......just in case hoped for development does not occur.
Rider gave a darn good showing tonight vs. the Purps; no disgrace for our guys coming up short Saturday.

Thanks Cindy. Closing bar with you after a MAAC tourney game is somewhat of a tradition for us.
