Projection is for a long season, based on today's peek, as we all pretty much anticipated.

Bright side is that we have a very good MAAC player (Jenkins!) and two others on the roster (Bacon and yes, eventually Hall...I am a convert) who are (or will be) good enough to get significant minutes on a top tier MAAC team.

Leon, Gooding, Traore, Mumphord and Hill (as frosh) fill the roster, but none of these players would not get any significant floor time on a top tier MAAC club at this stage of their development.

This season is all about hoping Bacon and Hall get much better, Jenkins keeps his head up and (maybe) Shumate or Hill develop into future contributors. Other than that, this roster screams out for a "3" and a "5". I have slim hopes Conley can possibly be that "3" next season if he continues to improve, but we're a long, long way from that right now.

I feel the last minute roster chaos (ouch!) is not a good omen for JD; he shopped for the groceries....that tidbit makes these latest roster tribulations much different than the Martin, Spann, Brock, Owes, etc. situations.

We all had better hope Conley is the real deal, or we get an inside player who transfers in for next season.....otherwise, this roster has too many front line holes to win, even in the MAAC.

We'll need to shoot 50% + to win most games; "D" is a sieve, despite our hustle, due to lack of size and below average guard defense, as Cindy diplomatically stated above.

ooops...meant to say COSTNER could possibly be the "3" next season....not CONLEY, who is our hope at the "5".
