Good post, SPC Fan. While college basketball has it's share of class acts ( Coach K, Mike Brey and many others too numerous to name) it also has it's share of jerks. Seems let their ego's get out of control thinking that coaching D1 basketball makes them god. I look at those guys as wanna-bees who need something in their own lives to give them a feeling of self-worth. I was especially interested in Coach Sampson's (ex-Indiana) comments after being dismissed by Indiana and now severly sanctioned by the NCAA. Paraphrasing, Sampson said that he accepted responsibility because the events happened on his watch. No Coach, you should accept responsibility because you committed the violations, not once but numerous times not only at Indiana but at your previous school! Turning to Pastos, for him to make the comments quoted shows that he thinks his coaching genius is invincible i.e. until he gets fired.
