Subject: Any word on C J Reid?

Anyone know why he had almost no playing time against Canisius?

Here's my guess and it's just that... Matchups...since we were playing three guards, with Jenkins at the three,we were using two bigger forwards at most times, the rotation being Bacon,Traore,Costner, and Hill.Costner played well and consumed most of the minutes. You also had Gooding in relief of Wesley at the small forward.
Since what we were doing was working quite effectively, why mess it up?
In this setup CJ would have been the third 3 and were they to use him at the four we would have been too small up front with the other three guards.
Finally,Mumford has been much improved in the last two games and has possibly moved ahead of Reid in the rotation.

Likely, it's more to do with his play in practice. Our insightful blog reporter suggested this also.

Not much to add in as much as what I offered in preseason seems to bearing out in season. Lack of strength and scoring from inside is proving to be paramount among our cadre of shortcomings. Contrary to what our warm weather vacationer has opined, we are indeed the poorer for not having the inside presence of Mr. Sowell.

Still gotta like the effort the kids put out. If only there was more talent.
