Didn't see or hear the game but SPC Dawg's comments are right on target. Don't want to play the if game but as SPC Dawg points out even with an average Wesley we win the last two games easily and the Fairfield game becomes quite interesting.

Heard Wesley has been battling the flu aside from his other problems. However, his shooting has been off all year. We can diagnosis it all we want and I have my own opinion but I think the kid will figure it out sooner or later. The problem as I've been posting is that we just do not have enough firepower. We need a shooter plain and simple, if only to get floor time when Wesley or Nick has an off game or needs a blow.

By the way, kudos to Akheem. I posted after the Seton Hall game that he had a renewed level of intensity. Since then he's been a big contributor. We all know (and opponents do also) that he is a weak shooter but check out his percentages. It shows perhaps one of the best on the team. Smart player who realizes his limitations and maximizes his opportunities.

Feel somewhat for the players because they have lost a few tough ones and do deserve a victory given their recent play.

Still feel WJ will turn it around....eventually.

Would have been nice to pick up a few wins, but this year has been all about player development from Day One.

Nick (Oldtimer called it first) and Ryan have truly stepped up their game since Wagner and Monmouth. Costner has shown some flashes and Akeem has improved.

Mid-pack seems a very reasonable goal next year, given continued player improvement, WJ finding his shot AND one or two new players worthy of time in the 8 man rotation.

It still is a downer, but it's a heck of a lot better than it looked in late December.

A ray or light or a "dead cat bounce"? We'll see next fall.

Loyal, thanks for the props. Actually, I was high on Nick even before the start of last season. Had many running battles with those who... The best part now is that I don't have to defend Nick (or the staff for going with him) anymore as has established himself as one of the top combo guards in the league. Not everyone is right all the time so I hope my assessment of Conley holds true. Time will tell.
