Good post! thanks. Hope we have a scorer on our hands. The open question, of course, is can Jeron do this against MAAC level competition. On the other hand, I've seen enough MAAC games this year (including Manhattan/Iona Monday night) and I'm not so sure how good the MAAC level of competition really is - including ourselves at this point in time.

Sagarin has MAAC rated 15th-top half-rated conference.The best it has been in years.

After watching some NEC teams as well as other leagues, Sagarin probably has it right. Guess everything is relative. Still doesn't change my mind on what I've seen on the court this year. The Manhattan/Iona game was one of the worst I've ever seen in all my years of watching college basketball. That said, my apologies to those teams as the last few years of SPC basketball does not give me the right to disparage.However, the point I tried to make is that the jump from a quality JC Program might not be that great. Niagara has proven that. Guess we'll find out.

Colege Basketball News RPI has SPC at 269 (4361). Youngstown is now 253(.4455) MAAC is rated #13 just ehind WAC and just ahead of Colonial and WCC. Actually that's really good.
