Sure -- Peacock, Tuesday, June 24, 08:45:26pm [1]
But the we can't score attitude is also just as unwarranted. I have little expectations, but as you have agreed in the past, last years team was not a six win team as reality proved and within that may be where some questions should also be made.

Not clear on what reality has proven but.... -- Sludge, Wednesday, June 25, 11:16:55am [1]
hopefully the questions that will be asked are substance-driven and not of the pejorative flavor.

When have you ever considered substance -- Peacock, Wednesday, June 25, 12:51:53pm [1]
You have always attempted to avoid issues through miss direction.
You have always attempted to avoid issues through miss direction.
Just to help you out, reality was a six win season. Now in retrospect do you believe the talent that was there should have attained such gaudy numbers.
It always amazes me how one with your intellect jukes and dukes around issues that might cast you in a poor light. As for a pejorative flavor, one might consider that most of your opinions are of that nature when one looks at the SUM total of the reality versus the SUM total of your comments.

When it comes from a credible source -- Sludge, Wednesday, June 25, 01:18:20pm [1]
Always assuring to know you will not disappoint. Ill's of last years can be placed on a number issues/individuals.
Why is it that I always see a single minded/predisposed purpose behind your remarks? When one can not provide balance and support to an argument, perhaps from frustration, you simply act to accuse the other of misdirrection.

That last sentance of yours is pure garbage -- Peacock, Wednesday, June 25, 01:47:06pm [1]
When a person doesn't have the balls to address an issue they resort to BS. You have never provided balance always providing excuses and contrivances for your logic. Even now you hide behind the statement "can be placed on a number issues/individuals" without any commitment to what you mean. God bless spin control, you certainly posses it.
And when it comes your insight into my "single minded/predisposed purpose" you refuse to even bring up issues that have been part of the performance through the last two seasons. Strange how you ignore your own "single minded/predisposed purpose", but choose to accuse others of traits that are dominant in your posts. Guess they are right when they say the best defense is an offense. Since I only suggest that some change of style occur, you go ballistic with your physco-analysis which shows your tender spots. I guess in your world, asking questions of management is a forbidden topic. No wonder the country is so screwed up.

Re: Surprised at your projections. -- oldtimer#1, Wednesday, June 25, 08:41:47am [1]
At some point we'd better be able to score inside. As any basketball fan knows, having an inside game frees up outside shooters.
The player that intrigues me most is Hill. Sutton is the key recruit but Hill, playing for an outstanding Texas high school team, is unknown by those of us who think that NYC/NJ basketball is all there is. At the very least, Sutton, Bacon, Hill etc. give JD a potentially outstanding rotation up front.
Sludge is correct about rebounding and defense. The kids have been continuing to work out intensely in strenghtening and conditioning. It shows in their appearance. While it's true that we don't have a wealth of shooters, scoring comes in many different ways.Last year, we had two, three if you count Leon, of the potentially better shooters in the league and it did nothing. Defense, rebounding, an interior game, and running the floor are all different ways of generating offense. How the staff puts together those offensive and defensive schemes that Peacock talks about will also be of interest to me.
Finally, congratulations to the staff on their recruiting efforts. As several have pointed out, no staff works harder.
