Decided to let your Olympic backstroke effort pass below, but due to your insider info status, I needed to challenge this one.

On August 20 South Florida issued this on Teague "We are disappointed that Gene will not be a part of our program," USF head coach Stan Heath said in a statement. "He was admitted conditionally this summer and would have been fully admitted had he been able to reach the NCAA's standards. We will assist him in finding a situation that is best for him and wish him the very best in his future endeavors."

Now CAA only reissues their comments on a kid per his prior suitors. They seldom, if ever have anything approaching insider info. The kid did not qualify and unless you have it from a member of the staff, I doubt SPC has done anything relative to Teague for the spring. They may consider him for next year, but as you mention the kid brings more problems than he does solutions.

Always comforting to know you have my backstroke in view.

Was only reporting and attempting some speculation on what consequence this might have on us. Be assured, I know to defer to your more factual assets, given your capacity to access intermediaries that can provide more accurate review.

Speaking of inspections, have you anything to add to your encouraging report on Hill?

Not aware of anyone calling him a stiff. Better we call him a late bloomer in development. Word is that, despite his size he is more of a face up, wing-type in style. On the positive side, reports are good on CJ, someone I may have been more dismissive of earlier. Big body who can fight inside as well possessing wing skills. My quess is, he, Gooding and Bacon up front. Could go with three guards, but who is the third. Much too early for any talk, besides, wouldn't want my backstroke examined too closely.

Down in Houston Hill was forced to play the post. He wants to play the wing, but his whole experiance is at center. Not to say he would excel at D1 but one needs to remember what position he did play in HS. He is not foreign to the post but possessing an outside shot does peg him for a wing. He will see time at both places and he does know how to rebound.

Hill will not be a D-1 post player, either because of his physical attributes, style, or inclination.

Maybe you are comforted if I simply say....I agree with you.

For 40 minutes a game?

Wouldn't get past the introductions.
