Subject: Interesting study.

A recent study shows that the so-called Flutie Effect does occur. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=4504740

This is where athletics and the overall school experience go hand in hand. Raise the profile of the school, raise the number of applications, be more selective, etc...

Let's say Siena made it back next year and made the Sweet 16. They would then be on the track to more applications, more alumni involvement, more money and a higher conference. Saint Peter's College would be left in the dust.

We're already in the dust.
New Prez has his hands full.
Let's see how he handles the AD hire and subsequent focus on athletics. "Spend money to make money" has been a concept lost on our admin.
Either first step to "catch up" or business as usual @ our beloved alma mater, mismanaged SPC.
I am hoping.

What is the new president like? I don't know anything about him. I know the previous would reject a study like this and considered athletics unseemly at best. Would the new president be interested in reviewing this research and possibly try to use it, or is he also above such notions?
