Jenkins turns my head. :>) Bacon's potential (not his play last year) intrigues me.

Bacon and Gooding averaged about 4-5 points per game each, during about 22 minutes of play, on average...with defenses collapsing on Sowell. Will they need to collapse on Conley? If not, will Bacon and Gooding be challenged even more offensively?

Unless they morph into completely different offensive players, it's hard to see how they will become significant scoring threats next season.

Bacon has lots of upside rebounding and defensively. Scoring? We'll see. Not sure if Gooding has any upside, unless he can shoot a 12 footer consistently. I think Akeem is at best a 7th/8th man on a good MAAC roster.....just my opinion.

You may be right about the coaching scheme; I don't know. I do think there is a severe lack of offense on next years roster. Jenkins will be taken out of many games by defenses focused on our one pure scoring threat. We will need Bacon, Gooding or Conley or Leon to score 20 ppg. for us to win on any given night. Think that is a realistic possibility, bases on what we've seen so far?

I do agree the same person shopped and is preparing the meal, so the responsibilty has to be placed squarely on JD if we have another play-in year.

So far, two play in years plus a bleak outlook next season = a two year extension.

Depressed yet? I am.

Let's hope the one left plus some defection scholarships used wisely can pull us out of the hole we are in.
