Quote of the Day

"You have to pinch yourself. A Marxist radical, who all his life has been mentored by, sat at the feet of,
worshipped with, befriended, endorsed the philosophy of, funded and been in turn funded, politically promoted and
supported by a nexus comprising black power, anti-white racists, Jew-haters, revolutionary Marxists, unrepentant
former terrorists and Chicago mobsters, is on the verge of becoming President of the United States.

And apparently it’s considered impolite to say so."

Melanie Phillips
The Spectator, UK

John,

I know you are not equating perspectives from the Economist and Financial Times with those of "The Spectator".

Right??

Next I expect to hear your rationale for the Peacocks nailing down an NCAA bid this season. :>)

You are so easily confused. You well know and I have expressed my thoughts on the matter so often to you. The chances of the Peacocks returning to the halcyon days of your youth are negligible at best at least until BO accedes to his throne on Penn Ave and is able to enact the athletic reforms that CindyC so eloquently described earlier in the week. The landscape of intercollegiate athletics continues to evolve in a direction that precludes the oldlU form ever being competitive again without that intervention. p.s. I simply thought that she eloquetly described your candidate and my opinion of him and as I have noted before that seems to stike too closely to home for you.

While I appreciate your copy and pasting the entire text of the ninth result of a Google search for Herbert Hoover in your other post*, I find it more desirable to respond to this post. And yet, I can't.

The very idea that Obama is a Marxist is laughable absurd and a discredit to right-thinking McCain supporters. It's so absurd, that here are the conditions that would have to be true for it to be accurate.

Heck, the idea that Obama is even a socialist is pure balderdash. There isn't a socialist party that would have him as a member.

You are certainly free to form and hold your own opinions as am I. With warmest regards, John
