I really like Dwight's game and obviously would love to see him playing for us. But I guess my first hope for him is that he gets the opportunity to finish what he has started at Iona. I understand that Loyal's post is just a statement about how much he like's Dwight's game and how nice it would be to see him play with Jenkins again , so these comments are not directed at his post in anyway.

I don't know what is going on at Iona this year anymore than I know what happened at SPC last year. But I do know that I abhor this growing trend of kids being pushed out of schools that recruited them . Whether it is explicit that your scholarship will not be renewed or just the coach the making it clear that I will not give you the opportunity to compete. I guess that technically it is true that the'ships are year to year, But if the young man is doing all he can at practice and in games and in the classroom,I think it is deplorable to push him out.

I know that this is not the CYO and all schools want to field the best teams possible, but if this involves not allowing a kid to compete for a spot that you recently recruited him for than it is a disgraceful practice.

I just hope that all our guys get to stay and compete over their four years at SPC. I hope that this is also the case at Iona. Lastly, just a question. I think some conferences have a rule that you can't transfer within the conference. Is this the case for the MAAC ? If it is,you would think that fairness would rule that it should be waived if the guy is being pushed overboard by his current school.

Transfering within the conference is not based on the MAAC but each individual school. SPC does use this rule. Not sure about Iona.
