Oldtimer i agree with you on Akeem. That's why i say at this point he is basically a specialist,thrives in a run and shoot press can't play in a halfcourt game where the defense is packed in daring him to shoot.
At least saw signs he was developing a 10 to 12 foot jumper by the end of the season.
Akeem would have thrived in Leckie run and shoot style. This year we were mostly a half court relatively slow offensive team except Lampley who i see as more of a transition player as well. As a result Akeem really struggled offensively. You have to love his athleticism but right now hard to project him as more than a specialist as i posted above, not a 30 minute a game type guy.
