Just back from HS TOC Judson is long, quick good handle. Shot is a question but good at the line. Has some bad HS habits eg took some possessions off in 1st half, did not get on boards early, but had a good all around 2nd half. If men ever got best player on group champ and TOC MVP there would be a meltdown on this board so please no more cracks about Coach DeWolfe, a classy, smart hard worker who is now establishing her own program. Oh yeah she's a descendant of a former US first lady too. Look it up. One note Coach Dunne also in attendance. Possibly looking at Science kids?

A little SPC historical trivia--

One of my all-time favorite SPC athletes, Patty (Marchese) Gentile, was also MVP of the TOC when she played in high school for Mt. St. Dominic Academy.

Amazingly, Patty, who was a decent-sized guard and an excellent student, did not get a Division I athletic scholarship out of high school and came to SPC on an academic scholarship.

I won't name him, but one of the DI coaches who passed on offering her a scholarship told Patty that he loved the way she played, but he just didn't think she had DI talent.

The first time she and SPC faced his team she scored more than 30 points in the game. And she did it without putting up a whole lot of shots.

She's in the SPC Athletic Hall of Fame and still works at SPC as Coordinator of Recreational Programming.
