Reid was ahead of Sutton in the B & G scheme, although not at the same position. He was usually in the game at the end. He will be a decent GET.

My comments on Shumate are less on his talent, but more on his skill set. He is athletic and leaps real well. Know little about his defense, but when you look at our needs, we do need front court rebounding and defense. So the concept of Shumate versus Sutton is not such a long stretch. Most everyone centers on offensive skills and miss out on the other intangibles. While I recognize you may be giving some of the current feelings of the staff, I am only trying to center on specific weaknesses.

No problem. Agree on your initial take. Shumate will be fine (otherwise why offer) but has some "work to do".
