Kabeya is actually about 6'4" and a well built small forward. Only been in the country about eight years and has only played organized ball for about four. Some scoring and rebounding (17/9), but for St. Lukes, a school playing in one of the weaker leagues in CT. Kid showed some promise playing for the Gauchos this year but a long way from contributing at the D-1 level. His younger brother, an all-state football def. end, signed to play for Maryland.

Best that can be said.....a good student.

Rivals lists him as a shooting guard.

According to Max Preps he averaged 16.6 ppg and an eye-popping 8.6 rebs against weak competition but he did get 18 and 5 against Solebury and 15 and 4 against Blair....

Who knows?

We certainly have taken players (Costner, Traore, Lampley) from high profile NJ programs that have not yet delivered.

Maybe this kid is a diamond in the rough, even if he played against weak competition in HS..

I do know our frosh had better be capable of making BIG contributions this season, or it will be a very, very long winter. Maybe there is another Jenkins or two in the fold?

Let's hope so!!

I believe Billy Lovett, the former St. Anthony's and Fordham guard, is the coach at St. Luke's.

My mistake. He used to be the coach at St. Luke's, but has moved on.
