Watching this one on ESPN U. It's at the half.

Boy, we look bad.

No one can get the ball to Sowell. No Bacon. As we know, Gooding can't contribute to a half court D 1 offense. No hint of an inside game.

Leon just can't cope vs. pressure. If Lampley can't play the point next year, Dunne has to recruit over Leon. I'm finally convinced.

Orta is a non-factor. Announcers confirm, "make him put the ball on the floor and you can neutralize him".

I feel there is a not a strong, 100% effort being put forth on "D" as well.

Iona is very average and they are a clear cut above us, on a neutral court.

Ouch.

This game might have been the worst game I have ever witnessed. We have not progressed one bit since opening night and have probably gone downhill. This is absolutely unacceptable and I do not think it is because of injuries or inexperience. We have just not improved after 21 games.

Announcers were pretty critical of SPC not getting the ball in to Todd, and borderline apoplectic about Orta not being on the floor with us down 5 with 90 seconds left.

Not difficult to read between the lines re: their opinion of the scheme or strategy. Rob Kennedy usually sugarcoats everything, as most announcers do, but his disdain for the way SPC played and was coached was very, very apparent.

Nick D. is right....this, along with the FDU game, were absolutely terrible efforts. I was embarrassed watching the game, and I was alone at the time! :>(

Fellow Peacock fans, Gooding + Leon are subs, at best, on a good MAAC roster. Period.

Lampley has potential, but has yet to (and may never?) deliver. Costner has more upside than Akeem.
The season is down the tubes, I hope we give Lampley time at the point to assess if we have to recruit another point guard....Leon is not the answer. Ditto Costner over Akeem, knowing the swap is a downer this season....but let's see what Costner has by expanding his minutes.

Jenkins (who missed multiple free throws, shot extremely poorly and missed a wide open three that would have cut it to two with 26 seconds left) played poorly tonight.

We'll have to build around Jenkins and Bacon, but obviously have a long, long way to go.

If Stein's successor was watching this effort, my man (and I mean that) John Dunne should be very, very nervous.

Frosh mistakes are one thing, lousy effort is quite another.

Ugh. Goodnight.
