Subject: Manhattan Game

Manhattan has a fair amount of fans calling for BR's head. The major criticism of him is that there are few, if any plays and more of a freelance team.

This could be called the clueless bowl. I would hope Sludge reads some of Manhattan's posts, particulairly the one involving Leckie. We should have a shot in this game but I hope most don't take it as a turnround.

Bonehead award of the day has to go to McCaffery(sp) of Siena. Defensive strategy was to go zone against Rider in an apparent attempt to neutralize Thompson. Guards shot lights out from 3-point and Broncs ended with a 50+ half.

The honor not for the opening strategy but in his refusal, stuborness to adjust otherwise.

Did you catch the post invloving Leckie. While I had my issues with Leckie he did evolve into a reasonable bench coach with a semblance of offense. The comment involving him had me laughing.

Sort of funny reading other Boards how many of their coaches, according to their fans, have no clue. Manhattan, Cansius, Iona and now Siena. Several weeks ago both the Loyola and Rider coaches were taking their beatings. Tough profession. Guess John Dunne is not alone the dog house.

On a more serious note, Rider looked good.and dare I say well coached against both us and Siena. Can't help but remember that we had a four point lead on Rider in the second half when we lost it with three straight turnovers plus the injury to Bacon. Been our story all year, not looking very good but nonetheless in most games. Blowouts? Seems that every MAAC team has had their share. Our problem is winning the winnable games.

When things are this bad, I'll take a ray of hope anywhere. Let's see what happens today. Will be more interested in our intensity than individual performances. Tough to get up after what has been going on. That's both a coaches job as well as testing the character of our players. I'll be interested in Cindy's comments on that aspect.

I agree but the comment that Leckie was furious as if he was more than just helping out a friend. Nothing here on Leckie, just the stupidty of the poster.
