He's not being recruited over in any way, shape or form, and he's not leaving Iona. He is EXACTLY the type of player that flourishes in Willard's defensive system. Great wishful thinking on your part, though.

Ok, just saw the size and position of the guards who are committed for next year and they seemed to have a similar profile.
I agree Dwight has tons of upside. Wish St. Peter's had him!

Shame on you Loyal for even suggesting that the class of the MAAC, Iona, would have an athlete that would even consider SPC as a fall back. Why even their 14th or 15th scholarship player is more talented than our best. Further, playing time for these eight or ten guards is probably secondary to the academic value they see in an Iona education. No doubt, Willard being a disciple of Petino, has formulated a masterful strategy in the design and recruitment of these outstanding student-athletes. After all, as the self-appointed among us know, the MAAC is a guard-oriented league.
