Jenkins and Sowell Earn All-MAAC Honors

EDISON, NJ (March 3, 2008) - Saint Peter's College senior Todd Sowell (Brooklyn, NY) and freshman Wesley Jenkins (Newark, NJ) received All-MAAC honors this afternoon. Sowell was named to the All-MAAC Second Team after a great regular season. He is 13th in the league in scoring (12.5 ppg), second in rebounding (10.6 rpg) and third in blocks (2.24 bpg). He is also 17th on the Saint Peter's all-time scoring list, second in rebounding and the all-time blocked shots leader. Jenkins was named to the All-MAAC Rookie Team and is now up for MAAC Rookie of the Year honors. Jenkins is 11th in the MAAC in scoring (13.0 ppg), eighth in steals (1.54 spg), seventh in 3pt FG% (41.8%) and second in 3pt-FG made (2.75 pg). He is also the league's top rookie in all four categories. The MAAC will annouce its Rookie of the Year on Thursday at 5pm at a Press Conference at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY.
