Subject: Disagree on Leon
In reply to: petersfan 's message, "Re: can't win with hs guards!" on Saturday, March 08, 02:57:53pm

Unlike my supposed educated BBIQ buddy, I believe Leon is a 2 guard. He has a much better shot than Lampley, but has no ability to get it on his own when guarded. When was the last time you saw a screen or pick set up to free him up. Coming out of HS, the book on him was a spot up shooter that needed help to free up his shot. It would appear that the BBIQ man agreed with both Dunne and Morton that Leon was a better PG. Not supporting Lampley here but they spent the whole season misusing Leon who under anyone with a smattering of a BBIQ would have known this by mid-season.

Lampley does have the better upside, but also has a head case issue. This was known before he came here. If there is one problem, it is the reports that appear to have come from the BBIQ man that Lampley is too much trouble in practice and may well be on the way out. Main reporter of said info posts on this board and claims only divine inspiration for this feeling but just happens to be a personal friend of Mr BBIQ. We also hear a 2nd will leave and how someone with only divine inspiration knows this is beyond me.

Should have known sooner that your bb acumen would have drawn you to the recognition that Leon is much better suited for the 2 guard. Shame on Dunne for not being savy enough to learn this sooner so that we could have enjoyed the comfort and success of having Darrell run the team as our point. In addition, maybe Coach has learned from the Spann departure that he must show more compassion and compromise, a la Blind, so that some of these fine student athletes can be made to feel more at home.

Also insightful and preemptive of you to point out the failures of Dunne for not targeting more than the minature guards we are blessed with. Quite enlightening to me since there are some that have criticized for my understating what was termed as an outstanding recruiting class. Must be that the current catch words, good resume, must have another meaning than what I am familiar with.

Oh, how much we can draw from the morning's after. How decisive of you to stand up and offer such declarative thought. Then again, balance of opinion and cause in your world, is for the feeble and weak-willed. Maybe some day, those of us of lesser strength and knowledge, can enjoy the courage and resource to see that there is only one answer to all our ills.

[> [> [> [> [> And you offer zero as an option. -- Peacock, Monday, March 10, 02:33:22pm [1]

Have you ever taken a position that was of independent thought. What is your opinion of Leon. Hard to even know if you have one, unless the old man has told you. Hell its you who pushes leaving scenario of some with authority and then claim it is your divine knowledge and not the stupid old man who communicates it to you. We both didn't know too much about Leon coming in other than what was written up by evaluators and not from the SPC staff. However let you be the one to virtually say nothing after observing him for so long. Other than support the old man who does more harm to Dunne with his BS spin that he takes directly from the 6 win staff. One might think you are campaigning to be a judge with judicial manner of your comments. Unlike Oldtmer I do read reports on kids and not just take the spoon feed praise he gets from partisans. Problem is your stupidity at suckling at his feet to make you look like you actually know something. One only needs to remember all your comments on the recruiting process through the past year and one sees that your substance is as firm as Jello.

It appears the black helicopters have begun to land on your grassy knoll.

Next we'll discover those who, in an attempt to support a weak position, will seek affirmation by posting under an assumed name.

Have you ever addressed an issue. Weak position. What is weak about questioning a 11 win staff. For one who never seems to have a position, its funny you use the word weak. Yours are generally non-existent. Hell if a sensible person saw this he would ask the question, not hide behind obscure comments. In fact your infantile logic asking about comparison of basketball knowledge shows you have little clue to reality. No where is it written that one with reams of basketball knowledge can not be a poor coach. So now you hide behind a non-sequitor comment which has been typical of you from day 1. We can see that you now have implied that Spann was a mal-content. Far from the truth. Must be tough on you that you need to rely on a self proclaimed expert for your information. Wonder if you do have any morals when you spread what should be privilege information even when it is wrong.

Sludge, Peacock reads too many "books" but claims to be privy to conversations (Dunne and Spann) as if he was a fly on the wall.Supposedly read the "book" on Lampley (see my comments below) and Costner. Now he's quoting the "book" on Leon. When was the last time Peacock went to Coney Island (Lincoln HS) to observe. Read my post below and get a feel for Peacock's supposed book knowledge.

is he lets you into the practices. You ever read a report. I doubt it. You do more harm with the spin control than the whole team.

When you boil it down we have two years of rather abysmal performance and you claim victory. Shows the level of your logic.

I certainly wouldn't read the ones you read. As others have pointed out you have the bad/weak habit of trying to put words in posters mouths. Count the times when I said that it has been a poor season and ultimately the coach is responsible. Come to think of it, maybe that's the problem with you, reading!

I neither put any words in posters mouths nor do I have your tendency to not even understand what you read ala the small guard discussion. I called you a fraud and a liar in the past when you contrived an issue where I was a participant. You continue your trend by creating premises that hold no truth. You can tell you come from the McCarthy era. Even your buddy distorts things when he equates the Spann affair with the player rebellion under Blind. Nice attempt to denigrate Spann by the Judge. Perfect example of people posting without knowing what they are posting about. I doubt you even know what the Spann issue was about and it wasn't your hidden issue you mentioned.

Hey oldtimer,
You are such a double talker. As much as it pains me to side with Peacock. You really no nothing about the game. Stick with playing with your putter! All you are is someone who talks with the people on the inside and thinks he knows it all.

SPC Alum my sentiments exactly. All BS all season long.

SPC Alum, we've been through this dance two seasons ago. I haven't forgotten. Your protestations about Peacock aside. You seem to appear and disappear out of thin air. Interesting! The difference between us is that while I know nothing of the Spann affair or your reported locker room rumor I wouldn't be posting it if I did. Speaks volumes about you in my book.

In another post, you made comment about some other issue when commenting on his release. Leon Now you claim to know nothing. As I said before truth is not your main forte.

Always claimed to know nothing. My initial comment centered on those who thought they knew something as if they were a "fly on the wall". Same goes for the MAAC Tournament comments. Horse shit!
