Oldtimer:

This is not a terrible dilemma to have. It's great for Dunne to have these options. That said, I think the answer is to go with your best athlete and that is Akeem Gooding. AG reminds me a lot of Moe Segar but with better offensive skills. At times, he is clearly the most athletic player on the floor. Bacon reminds me a bit of Todd's first season. Potential is there and will need to play some solid summer ball (like Todd did) in order to become that MAAC force we believe he can be, aside from what Dunne can bring to the table in terms of development. Hogga is a great third option and could ultimately be Todd's replacement once he graduates. Like I said, not a bad dilemma to have...

Agree Gooding has been more useful and productive than Bacon. Based on the performance to date by both players, it is very hard to question Dunne's preference for Gooding. (Qualification: NOT an endorsement of Gooding as a "difference maker"...just comparing him vs. Bacon)

Next year, as currently situated, we'll be depending on a freshman (Conley) and a sophomore with little experience (Bacon) to be our ONLY legitimate rebounders/inside players. Two things come to mind:

1. Even as Jenkins, Lampley, Leon and Hogga gain experience and improve, they will be dependent on someone to get them the ball.....or avoid their efforts being negated by opponents playing volleyball underneath.
2. With that in mind, finding some minutes somewhere for Bacon would be useful.

Of course, if we get a legitmate, ready to contribute right away banger with our next 2 ships, then....."never mind". :>)

Forgot to add....

I think Hogga is more of a complimentary rebounder; he is way to small to be a "5" and is not a shot blocker by any stretch.....and can't play the middle in place of Todd, based on what I've seen to date.
