No kidding! There's no college atmosphere at all at SPC. No trees, no lawns, no night life, just a bunch of buildings in a blighted area. And it does show in its athletic programs. How the teams get ANYONE to attend the college is amazing. Is there another D1 program that's so dreary?

Duh! Are you people just waking up?? This has been SPC's problem since DAY 1 ! This is EXACTLY WHY I give ALL the coaches tremendous credit and athletes..... now and in the past for some of the great teams Saint Peters has had. Beat Canisius!

The last "Great" SPC team was in 1995, THIRTEEN years ago! Since then all they've had was one player who scored a million points, but still barely passed the .500 plateau and never made the postseason. Imagine if Clark wasn't the scoring machine that he was and we were still winning five or six games per season?

The posters on this board are praying that "perhaps" we can pull off a win against the likes of Canisius and Fairfield, but let's face the program is going nowhere even if it beats these two teams.

Maybe, it's time to drop the athletics to D2 or D3 and redirect the money saved to academics.

Sounds harsh but there certainly is some truth to what you say DELL. As long as there is only minimal support from the administration this program will always be second rate. We are where our stingy administration has put us and yes this has been the case for over30 yrs.

Its a good thing coaches like M.Granelli, Dukiet, Don Kennedy , Ted Fiore, and the coaches of the recent soccer team did not listen to negative depressing people like you. Saint Peters does not need nor want "fans" ?? like you. Go back to sleep.

I wouldn't be quite so pessinistic. There are kids who want to stay in an urban enviornment and care little about tree hugging. Some kids grow up in the boonies and want change.Proximity to NYC can be a plus and in a talent rich area ,some choose to stay to play in front of family and friends.
The new Prez in time will prove to be a plus, but the athletic department has been malnourished for so long the change won't come onernight.
