One recognizes lack of offensive flow when one sees it. I think everybody saw it tonight. I can only use one phrase to characterize this team, skilled impotent offense. Why skilled? Can't take a shot at any individual player. Impotent because they have no ability to generate a shot. When you put it together you come up with a very serious question. I'll let you guys figure out what that is.

By the way, although Lampley takes shots from many, one can not criticize him for his constant attempts to create offense.

Peacock, I'll add my comments above but as to your post, you are 150% correct on point #1. We all have been saying this for several games. No flow whatso ever. Horrible!

With regard to point #2 we continue our friendly disagreement. If I agree with you you that Lampley can't be criticized for trying to make something happen will you agree with me that he doesn't have the game to make something happen? Three air balls, a poor (or average) shooter, and throws the ball somewhere at the basket when he drives. I give the kid credit for trying, if that's what you are trying to say but he has very little offensive game. Two of his three layups were on chippies ahead of the field, the rest were... Again, I like his effort but IMO brings little to the table.

The guy is a young freshman and his shooting ability is very questionable (horrible tonight), but to say he brings little to the table is ridiculous..Cal;m down and start looking more at Dunne's coaching.

Absolutely true, Darrell is a young freshman and he is not our only freshman who is not performing well. Hope springs eternal but it is quite evident that unless Darrell develops a reliable shot, learns how to drive and finish then he will continue to struggle. Not at all ridiculuos to state that.

Say all you want about Lampley, but he appears to be the only one that actually attempts to score. I am not sure what is worse, his failures as you document or the lack of attempts of the others. You will not improve unless you try and to date, Dunne's game plans and execution have not allowed anyone else to rise to the occasion. 4 wins against rather a weak schedule so far is not improvement.

Forget what you saw in the 2nd half, as it was fun time for Siena with no need to step up, although they also creamed us that half. I fully expected to lose this game in the spread area, but this was not even a 20 point game, it was really more like a 40 point loss in how we played.

Peacock, we are getting closer and closer to agreeing on Lampley that I'll make it my New Years resolution to leave him be. Now that I agrre with you that Darrell is obviously trying to fit in (and I rarely criticize a player for effort) let's just hope that he works on his game.

Truth be told ,however, (and I understand your caveat) that I agree with both Sludge and SPC FAN that we may have to recruit over both Leon and Lampley or atleast bring in that 6'2"-6"4" shooter/penetrator to replace Orta. Your opinion?

You have a red shirt point guard sitting and you have to wonder what you really might get. SPCFan even indicated Grace and he is 5'9". Its not recruiting over and while hoping for Marquise Haynes I think they are only hoping for a decent 2, and I always felt that was a need in the four available. I love Jenkin's potential, but he has gotten off scott free for many his miscues. Might not be his fault as you have to question the position these kids are placed in to get their shots. Everything in recruiting is a crap shoot. I am not after Dunne's head, but his offense is both moribund and predictable. Before we get this unidentified stud, we have to see more attempts to create a realistic offense when we come up against moderately decent teams that actually attempt to defend us.
