Stein establishes and enforces a "no signs" policy at a college hoops game?

My hair hurts.

Let's pray, somehow, we get lucky and recruit a professional AD. Litmus test for our new Prez re: Athletics.

I don't know the particulars of this case or the policy, but at the Iona game the sign in question was brought by a "strange" follower of the Peacocks who was once a supporter. He is now,I believe, an ex-student and frequently comes to the games wearing a shirt of the opponents school.
He brought signs to the Rider game and the Iona game.At the Iona game members of the "COCKPIT" tore up his sign.
My guess it is simply an attempt to prevent a confrontation where someone, possibly this individual, might get hurt, not to stifle free speech or displays of spirit.
I think it's a good judgment call.
